AIM-7M Sparrow 1:48 (Eduard Brassin) is a set of resin AIM-7M air-to-air guided missiles for models of modern American fighters. It is underwing ordnance, not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin set from the Brassin line of the Czech manufacturer Eduard holds four AIM-7M Sparrow air-to-air guided missiles in 1:48 scale, filled out with photo-etched parts. The bodies of the missiles have the rear fins cast in place, while the front fins are separate. It is not a model - it is an accessory with ordnance.
The AIM-7 Sparrow is an American semi-active radar homing guided missile of medium range. The AIM-7M version was among the later, higher-performing renderings and modern fighters in service from the 1980s carried it. It comes into its own on models of the later versions of the Phantoms, of the fighters of the navy as well as of the aircraft of the air forces.
Wash the resin parts clean of the mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. The photo-etched covers of the motor are laid on with spots of glue.
This is an accessory with ordnance, not a model of an airplane in its own right. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
