This is a precise aftermarket set of turned metal probes for models of the Alpha Jet A trainer and light attack aircraft in 1:48 scale. The package contains the pitot tube and the angle of attack probes made of brass. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory that replaces the matching plastic parts from a kit with a more faithful and far more durable version.
The small plastic probes on the nose and the sides of the fuselage break easily and never have the fineness of metal. The turned parts have the correct shape and proportions, stand up to handling well and, once painted, are indistinguishable from the real sensor fit. The set is meant for Alpha Jet models in the scale given.
Remove the metal parts from the carrier, clean them up and set them into pre-drilled holes. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), which holds metal on plastic more reliably than modeling cement for plastic. Degrease the parts before painting and apply a primer for metal, so that the paint holds well.
This is an accessory detail set, not an aircraft model. Glue, paints and the basic kit are not included in the package.
