Resin engine cooling flaps (cowl flaps) for a model of the Soviet single-engine biplane Antonov An-2 in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft model but a detail part by the brand Quickboost. The casting replaces the flaps from the kit with a more faithful and finer version around the engine cowling.
The Antonov An-2 was a general-purpose single-engine biplane used for transport, agriculture and parachute work. It was powered by the Shvetsov ASh-62 radial engine. The controllable flaps around the engine cowling regulated its cooling and are a conspicuous element of the nose.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, separate them from the casting block with a cutter or a saw and glue them with cyanoacrylate. Sand with respiratory protection. Before painting, roughen the surface lightly and apply a primer suitable for resin, so that the paint holds well and does not peel anywhere.
This is an accessory for refining a kit, not a standalone model. Glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package.
