A resin detail set from Aires for 1:48 scale. This is not an airplane model but an aftermarket accessory. It replaces the box cockpit interior with a faithfully cast resin tub with instrument panels, seats and side walls, which tend to be complemented by fine photo-etched parts and an instrument decal.
The Arado Ar 196 was a German shipboard reconnaissance floatplane of the Second World War period, carried by surface ships and operating from the surface of the water. The A-3 and A-4 versions were among the main production forms.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and bond with super glue. The interior is suitably painted before the fuselage is closed, then picked out with a wash and a dry brush. Check that the set fits the chosen kit dimensionally.
The plastic kit itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
