The Mule is a low, rugged airfield tow tractor used by the US Navy and the air forces for towing and moving aircraft, weapons and cargo trolleys on the decks of carriers and at ground bases. Its low build and great pulling power allow heavy machines to be maneuvered in tight spaces. The short version corresponds to the shorter chassis form without an auxiliary power unit. It is precisely such service hardware that makes an airfield diorama believable.
First wash the resin and 3D-printed parts free of uncured print resin residue, cut the print supports off and sand them down with respiratory protection. Bond exclusively with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a primer and then the base shade with an airbrush. Credibility will come from pronounced oil and dust effects, rubbed paint on the edges and greasy stains on the engine section - airfield hardware tends to be thoroughly worn.
