1:48 AS.34 Kormoran 1 is an Eduard BRASSIN resin detail set that will faithfully replace an anti-ship guided missile on a model of a combat aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard belongs to the BRASSIN line and holds a resin replica of the AS.34 Kormoran 1 anti-ship guided missile in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit of an aircraft but an accessory with armament intended to be hung under the wing or the fuselage of a model. The castings offer a crisper detail of the surface, the fins and the seeker head than injection-molded plastic can manage.
The Kormoran is a German anti-ship missile whose development was later taken over by the company Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm. It uses inertial guidance in the middle phase of flight and active radar guidance in the final phase of the attack. It carries a penetrating warhead and is intended mainly against surface ships in coastal waters. The machines of the Marineflieger became its carriers first, and later multirole combat aircraft began to carry it as well.
First wash the parts clean of the remains of the mold release agent, carefully cut the casting blocks off and glue them together with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Lay a primer filler on before painting, then fill the color scheme and the markings in with an airbrush.
This is a supplementary resin set, not a complete model. Paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
