This set from Aires in 1:48 scale replaces the stock cockpit of a plastic AV-8B Harrier II Plus model. It holds resin parts, with cockpit sets usually rounded off with photo-etched details and an instrument panel film. It is an accessory for a kit, not a complete model.
The AV-8B Harrier II Plus is the American variant of the attack aircraft with vertical and short take-off and landing. Compared with the baseline AV-8B, the Plus version added a radar in the nose, which broadened its operational scope. Characteristic are the vectoring nozzles with their thrust vectoring, thanks to which the aircraft operates from short strips and decks as well.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Dry-fit the replacement cockpit tub against the walls of the model before closing the fuselage.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
