Responsibility details are not available.
A set of parts etched from thin brass sheet in 1:48 scale from the Czech brand Eduard. It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory that is fitted into a plastic Lancaster model you already own. According to the name it targets the landing gear. Photo-etch allows edges, stiffeners and perforations to be made in a thickness that molded plastic cannot reach, so the gear bays and legs stop looking like smooth blocks of material.
The Avro Lancaster was the main British night bomber of the Second World War, powered by four Rolls-Royce Merlin engines. The machines known as Dambusters belonged to No. 617 Squadron RAF, which in May 1943 attacked the German dams in the Ruhr with the bouncing bomb designed by Barnes Wallis. Because of the unusual load these Lancasters received a number of modifications, and on the ground they stood on fully loaded landing gear, which comes to the fore on a model built with the gear down.
Separate the parts with a sharp scalpel on a hard surface, not with cutters, which bend the sheet. Make the bends along the marked grooves; a bending tool, or at least two razor blades pressed to the line, gives a crisp edge. Degrease the surface before gluing, dose the cyanoacrylate with a pin in tiny drops and wipe any surplus away at once. Brass holds paint reliably only over a primer coat.
