B-17G engines (1:48, Quickboost) is a set of resin engines for a model of the Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress bomber. This is a detail accessory, not a standalone model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin set of precisely cast radial engines for a model of the four-engine Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress bomber in 1:48 scale. The set replaces the engines from the base kit with more faithful resin parts with fine cylinder finning and detail that is hard to reach in injection-molded plastic. It is not a model of the airplane but an accessory that raises the realism.
The Boeing B-17G was an American heavy bomber of the Second World War, powered by four Wright R-1820 Cyclone radial engines. The G version was the most produced and was marked by a chin turret under the nose. It was committed above all to daylight strategic bombing over Europe.
Wash the parts free of mold release residue, separate them from the casting blocks and glue them with super glue. The engines come into their own once they are painted and the detail is picked out lightly with a wash. The set suits open engine nacelles or modelers who want the best possible look to the powerplants.
This is an add-on set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
