This photo-etched metal set from the Czech maker Eduard is intended to add detail to the bomb bay of a model of the American medium bomber North American B-25J Mitchell in 1:48 scale. It is not a standalone aircraft model but an accessory with which you add a faithful structure and fine metal elements to the bomb bay, things that a plastic kit has to simplify.
The B-25 Mitchell was one of the most successful Allied twin-engine bombers of the Second World War. The B-25J version was built in the largest numbers and was used on all the main fronts as a medium bomber and as an attack machine. The bomb bay was the heart of the combat equipment of the aircraft.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife, bend the fine elements in a bending tool or between two razor blades and glue them with cyanoacrylate or a two-part epoxy. We recommend detailing and painting the bomb bay before the fuselage is closed up.
This is an accessory, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
