A resin detail set for experienced modelers, not a kit of the airplane. The set replaces the landing gear spaces, the wheel wells, of the British supersonic interceptor the English Electric Lightning in the F Mk. 2 and Mk. 6 versions in 1:48 scale. Faithfully cast bays with a rich structure take the place of the shallow and bare spaces a plastic kit offers.
The castings capture the walls and ceilings of the wells with their hydraulics, wiring, stiffeners and riveting. An open, finely rendered landing gear space is among the elements that markedly raise the realism of a model when seen from below as well as from the side. The set is shaped for the matching Lightning kit in this scale.
This is a detail set of resin, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
