1:48 Beaufighter propellers with a jig is a resin detail set from Quickboost that replaces the plastic propellers of the model with more accurate castings and adds a jig for setting the blade angle correctly.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an aftermarket accessory, not a standalone model of an airplane. The set replaces the out-of-the-box propellers with accurately shaped resin castings, and it includes a simple jig that helps seat the blades at a uniform, correct angle. The set is intended for models of the twin-engined bomber and fighter Bristol Beaufighter in 1:48 scale.
The Bristol Beaufighter was a British twin-engined multi-role aircraft of the Second World War period. It was deployed as a heavy night fighter and as an attack and torpedo aircraft. It was powered by a pair of Bristol Hercules radial engines, and it is precisely faithful propellers that markedly influence the overall impression of a finished model.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts, carefully cut off the casting blocks (the gates) and sand the surfaces. Use cyanoacrylate glue for gluing. Protect your airways when sanding resin. Use the jig to give all the blades the same pitch. Once painted, complete the propellers with the typical warning stripes on the blade tips.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
