A set of colored parts of the SPACE range in 1:48 scale for a model of the British twin-engined aircraft Bristol Beaufort Mk. I. Only the backing paper is moistened, the part is lifted off with tweezers and fixed with PVA glue.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Beaufort Mk. I is a British twin-engined aircraft of the end of the 1930s, built for torpedo and bombing attacks over the sea. It served with a crew of several men and had a glazed nose and a dorsal gun position, so the inside of the fuselage and the pilot's station are clearly visible on a model. That makes colored cockpit detail all the more important.
This is a set of colored parts of the SPACE range in 1:48 scale. The parts are printed on a backing paper and have no adhesive layer of their own: the paper is moistened from below with a damp sponge and a drop of detergent, the part is lifted off it with tweezers and fixed in place with white PVA glue. A decal softener does not belong with them. The parts stand out in relief above the surface, so the instrument panels and other details look more faithful than paint alone. The extent of the set and which parts of the model the pieces belong to are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Paint the surface under the parts first and let it dry thoroughly; on a greasy or dusty surface a part holds badly. Moisten the backing paper lightly, lift the parts off with tweezers and try them dry in place first, because once glued they cannot be moved much. Put a drop of PVA glue underneath and press them down with a stick or a cotton swab so that they seat into the recesses. The manufacturer does not recommend cyanoacrylate glue. Spray varnish over them carefully and in a fine mist.
The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
