The set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard from the BRASSIN line holds a resin replica of the wooden propeller for a model of the Messerschmitt Bf 108 aircraft in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit but an improving accessory that will replace the less detailed plastic part with a more precise casting with a faithful shape of the blades and the hub.
The Messerschmitt Bf 108 Taifun was a German single-engine all-metal touring and liaison aircraft from the 1930s. It was powered by an air-cooled engine and the machine became known for its good flying qualities. It was used for liaison and courier duties and became the forerunner of the design solutions of the later fighters.
Wash the castings clean of the remains of the mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the wooden propeller in shades of wood with a varnish coat and a gentle bringing out of the growth rings, then fill the metal hub in with a metallic paint.
This is a supplementary resin set, not a complete model. Paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
