A resin detail set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard, from the Brassin line. It contains two underwing gun pods in 1:48 scale for models of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighter, complemented by photo-etched parts, decals and a mask. It is a detail accessory, not a kit in its own right.
Underwing pods with 20 mm cannons were fitted to the later variants of the Bf 109 to boost its firepower, above all against bombers. They increased its destructive power but cost it agility and speed. The resin set offers a fine and accurate rendering of this additional armament.
Wash any mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and sand them with respiratory protection. Glue both the resin and the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Lay down a primer before painting, use the film supplied for masking and apply the decals onto a gloss varnish.
This is an accessory, not a model in its own right. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
