Responsibility details are not available.
Injection-molded plastic kit of the German fighter Messerschmitt Bf 109E-1 in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. The model captures the early version of the Emil family with fine engraved surface texture. Eduard releases this type in several editions (among them ProfiPACK with photo-etch and masks and the simpler Weekend), so check the particular edition, the contents of the box and the accessories against the manufacturer's part number for this item.
The Bf 109E Emil was the basic version of the Messerschmitt at the start of the Second World War and bore the main weight of the fighting during the campaign of 1940 and the Battle of Britain. The E-1 version was an early modification with machine gun armament (the later E-3 added wing cannons). The machine was powered by the inverted V12 Daimler-Benz DB 601 engine with fuel injection, which gave it an advantage in maneuvers under negative g.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and sand the joints carefully. Paint and highlight the cockpit interior before closing up the fuselage. Early Emils carried a gray-green camouflage with a light undersurface; after the gloss coat and the decals, bring out the panel lines with a wash and add the fine wear that matches the year 1940.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
