Bf 109E-7 Trop Weekend 1:48 - a photo-etched set from the Czech maker Eduard for detailing the model of the tropicalized Messerschmitt Bf 109E-7 fighter of the Weekend edition.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched detail set from Eduard in 1:48 scale intended for detailing the plastic model of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109E-7 fighter in its tropicalized form, matched to the kit of the Weekend edition. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory that raises the level of detail of the base kit.
The Bf 109E, nicknamed Emil, was the main German fighter of the early Second World War. The E-7 version brought, among other things, the ability to carry a drop tank or a bomb, and the tropicalized form received a dust filter on the carburetor intake for service in the Mediterranean and North Africa. It was a fast single-seat fighter with an inverted V12 engine.
The photo-etched parts serve to refine the details that plastic cannot be formed thinly enough to render. Separate the parts with a sharp knife on a cutting mat, bend them in a bending tool and bond them with super glue; apply the colored features to a cleaned and degreased surface. The Weekend edition is the basic release of the kit, and the set adds the detail it lacks.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a standalone model. It calls for the matching base kit, which is not included in the package.
