Quickboost 1:48 Bf 109E gun barrels is a resin detail set that replaces the plastic barrels with faithfully cast parts with drilled-out mouths.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin detail set in 1:48 scale adds finely cast barrels of the on-board armament with drilled-out mouths to a model of the Messerschmitt Bf 109E fighter. It is not a kit of the airplane but an accessory that replaces the simplified plastic barrels from the box. The set is meant for more experienced modelers.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109E, nicknamed Emil, was a key version of the German fighter of the early Second World War. It was powered by the Daimler-Benz DB 601 inverted V12 engine and the machine left a marked mark on the fighting over Britain. Finely rendered gun barrels are among the details that give away the quality of a finished model most at close range.
First wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water to remove the mold release agent from the mold. Separate the parts from the casting blocks by cutting, not by snapping, and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Sand the resin with respiratory protection or wet, because resin dust is harmful to health. Spray the barrels in a dark metallic shade and bring out the metallic sheen lightly.
It is supplied as an unglued and unpainted resin set. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
