Responsibility details are not available.
This set of the SPACE range from the Czech manufacturer Eduard brings color three-dimensional decals into the cockpit of a Bf 109 G-14/AS model in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit or any airframe part but an accessory that is applied to cockpit parts that have already been built and painted. The motifs are printed in color and in relief, so the instrument panel, the side panels and other interior details gain depth and legible dials without hand painting.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-14/AS was a late version of the German single-engine fighter of the G series. The AS suffix refers to the high-altitude Daimler-Benz DB 605 engine with a larger supercharger, which improved performance at higher flight levels; a modified engine cowling went with the powerplant. Machines of this version were produced in the closing phase of the Second World War and were committed above all to air defense.
The surface has to be smooth, clean and degreased; the decals hold best on gloss or at least semi-gloss varnish. Cut the individual motifs out close to the outline and seat them precisely first time, as a relief decal slides across a surface less easily than a thin conventional one. With a sponge and a drop of detergent, dampen only the backing paper, lift the element with tweezers and fix it with white PVA glue; the manufacturer prohibits a decal softener, because the chemicals would attack the printed resin. Once it is perfectly dry, a matte or semi-gloss varnish will even the surface of the cockpit out.
The set contains decals only. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
