Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail set from Aires in 1:48 scale for improving the cockpit of a plastic kit of the Messerschmitt Bf 109G-2 fighter. It holds finely cast cockpit parts with relief of the instrument panel, the side consoles and the seat. It is not an airplane model but an accessory replacing the original cockpit from the kit.
The Bf 109G, nicknamed Gustav, was the most widespread version of the German single-seat fighter of the Second World War. It was powered by the Daimler-Benz DB 605 inverted V12 engine. The early G-2 form did not yet have the prominent blisters on the engine cowling that appeared on the later subvariants. The cockpit was cramped, with a framed canopy.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts and separate them from the casting blocks. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate), and sand with respiratory protection. Check the fit before closing the fuselage. The interior usually calls for the appropriate cockpit interior shade, a dry brush on the edges and a wash into the recesses.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
