Montex for the Bf 109G-6 in 1:48 scale: masking shapes for both sides of the canopy, national insignia and a decal sheet. The outlines were based on Hasegawa plastic.
Responsibility details are not available.
The G-6 version became the most numerous Messerschmitt of the war. It received heavy fuselage machine guns whose breeches would not fit into the slim nose, and that is why conspicuous bulges grew above them. The machine was built in dozens of production variants, from night fighters to fittings with underwing rocket tubes, and the differences between them are often reflected in the shape of the glazing above the pilot's head.
A bled edge is no reason to start again. After the film has come off, let the paint cure completely, then trim the overrun with the point of a sharp scalpel drawn along the frame and polish the surface with a piece of fine sponge dipped in water. Any milky haze left on the window is evened out by a thin layer of gloss applied with a brush. Only when the damage is deep does it make sense to polish the whole pane.
The surest prevention is a light application. Two or three thin coats from a greater distance hold the edge far better than a single heavy pass, after which the paint runs sideways under the edge. A few minutes between the coats is enough.
Inside you will find masking for the canopy from the outer and the reverse side, a field of insignia and decals. The base was Hasegawa plastic in 1:48 scale. The set will also serve anyone who ends up spraying the marking according to a photograph of his own and keeps the enclosed decal sheet for another project. It also suits anyone building several Gustavs side by side who wants the frames equally sharp on all of them.
