The LööK set combines a pre-colored resin instrument panel and pre-colored photo-etched steel seat harness for models of the Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 fighter in 1:48 scale. It is not a model or a kit but a cockpit detail accessory. The panel is cast in resin and printed in color including the dial faces, so it replaces the plastic part with no need for painting.
The Bf 109G-6 was the most numerous version of the Gustav, with the DB 605 engine and the characteristic weapon fairings on the upper fuselage. It was in service from 1943 on every front of the Second World War. The instrument panel of the 109 is a favorite place for raising the realism of a cockpit even in a smaller scale.
Separate the resin panel from the casting block with a saw, clean up the surface and wash the mold release agent off the parts. Bond both the panel and the harness with super glue. The steel straps are malleable, so shape them into a realistic sag over the seat. Any evening out of the shades can be finished with a light clear coat.
The accessory does not contain the model, glue or paints. It serves only to detail the cockpit.
