About product

HGW 1:48 Bf 109K-4 Orlon (Ersatz) seatbelts

A set of fabric seat belts in 1:48 scale for the kit of the Messerschmitt Bf 109K-4 fighter. It is not a model but a cockpit detail accessory. The Orlon (Ersatz) form refers to the late-war German substitute webbing made of a replacement synthetic material, which HGW imitates with printed microfiber. Combined with the photo-etched buckles supplied, the result is very realistic belts that can even be left unfastened.

Use

  • Take the laser-cut fabric belts out of the sheet.
  • Thread them through the photo-etched buckles and fix the joints with super glue (cyanoacrylate).
  • Set them into the cockpit, and refining the folds gives a natural look.
  • Optionally the belts can be varnished and lightly weathered.

Who the set is for

  • Modelers who want the most faithful possible cockpit of a German fighter.
  • Anyone interested in late-war Luftwaffe subjects.
  • Builders who are not satisfied with the plastic belts from the box.

This is an accessory, not a complete model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
