A resin detail part, not an airplane kit. The set holds a precisely cast starboard engine for the German Messerschmitt Bf 110 twin-engine heavy fighter in the C and E versions in 1:48 scale. It lets you open the engine cowling and show a faithfully rendered powerplant. The part is intended for more advanced modelers with resin experience.
The Bf 110 was powered by inverted V12 Daimler-Benz DB 601 engines, and an exposed engine section is a rewarding diorama element. The resin casting captures the block, the lines and the accessories with relief that injection-molded plastic usually cannot offer. Once painted and set into an open cowling it makes a compelling focal detail and enlivens a static display of a model.
