A resin detail set from the Czech maker Eduard from the Brassin range, in 1:48 scale. It holds faithfully rendered American BLU-27 incendiary napalm aerial bombs, which complete the external stores of attack and tactical aircraft in a way true to the period. It is an accessory, not a model of an aircraft in its own right.
The BLU-27 is an American incendiary aerial bomb, a Bomb Live Unit, filled with a napalm-based incendiary charge and used above all in the period of the war in Vietnam. The streamlined casing was carried under the wings or the fuselage of tactical aircraft. From a modeler's point of view the set serves as a scale accessory for external stores true to the period.
First wash the resin parts free of release agent residue, cut off the casting blocks and sand any flash with respiratory protection. They are glued with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Put a primer on before painting; washes and a dry brush suit the weathering. Decals for the markings tend to be included.
This is an accessory set, not a model in its own right. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
