With a four-engine bomber the inside is enormous and the plastic moldings usually deal with it only by suggested surfaces. Quinta Studio goes at it with layered parts that are printed already pre-colored and are transferred from a paper carrier. The result comes across as three-dimensional, and the painting of small controls falls away with it. The name draws attention to the smaller extent of the set. The set is intended for the HK Models or Eduard kits.
The Boeing B-17F served in the first two years of the Eighth Air Force campaign over Europe. Its mark of recognition is the one-piece clear nose without the turret under it that only the later version was given. It was precisely machines of this series that flew on the heaviest daylight raids into the depths of Germany, including the combined strike on Schweinfurt and Regensburg in 1943, and a crew of ten manned them. The story of the machine Memphis Belle entered general awareness.
Divide the extensive inside into parts and begin where the most can be seen through the glazing. Prepare the base with matte paint in a similar tone, so that the gloss of the plastic does not show anywhere. After fitting, let the parts dry out thoroughly, and only then close the fuselage. A patina suggested with soot and a gray shade around the gunners' stations will give the whole a credibility of scale.
