Eduard 1:48 Brimstone with the AGML III rack is an accessory set of British guided missiles including the launch rack, for models of aircraft in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This accessory set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard brings models of the British Brimstone guided missiles together with the triple AGML III launch rack in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but armament with which a model already built is filled out — typically on the hardpoints under the wings. The set replaces the simplified parts from the box and adds sharper detail in a place that is clearly visible on a model, because external stores hang directly in the line of sight.
Brimstone is a British air-to-ground guided missile of smaller caliber, designed so that more of them fit on a single hardpoint. That is exactly what the AGML III rack is for: it carries three missiles on one station, so an aircraft can carry a markedly greater number of missiles than it has pylons. Missiles of this type have been in service with British combat aircraft since the turn of the millennium and are a characteristic identifying feature of their modern external stores.
Separate the parts from the carrier structure carefully, true the cuts up with a fine file and dry-fit them on the pylon before gluing. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). External stores are simpler to paint separately from the model and to fit at the end of the build — it saves you masking. Match the shades with the aircraft; on weapons, a very fine wash to bring out the panel lines and the straight guide rails of the rack pays off. Lettering can be added with decals if you have any available.
An accessory armament set. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
