A relief, color-printed cockpit decal completed by 3D-printed resin parts, not an aircraft model. The instrument panel, side panels, seats and seat belts are printed with raised three-dimensional detail and colors straight from production. The set also contains fine 3D-printed resin parts and is shaped for the plastic Bristol Beaufort Mk.I kit in 1:48 scale from ICM.

The real subject

The Bristol Beaufort was a British twin-engine torpedo and bomber aircraft of Coastal Command in the Second World War. The Mk.I version with Bristol Taurus radial engines was used to attack enemy shipping with torpedoes and bombs. The roomy cockpit with a four-man crew gives the interior of the model plenty of room to show.

Application

• Sand the matching plastic cockpit parts smooth first - the 3D decal goes straight onto them.
• Release the relief parts from the backing paper with tweezers (a brief soak helps) and lay them in place. Do not use a decal softener: this resin print does not tolerate it.
• Clean the resin parts supplied of any residue and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue).
• The procedure suits more advanced modelers.
