This is a set of color 3D decals from the manufacturer Quinta Studio, not a kit. The cockpit detail is printed on decal paper, has a fine three-dimensional relief and is already colored, so it faithfully imitates the instrument panel, the side panels and other elements of the cockpit without the laborious painting and shading. This small version concentrates on the main elements of the cockpit and is intended for models of the British Bristol Blenheim Mk.I light bomber in 1:48 scale. The decals are shaped for the parts of the Airfix kit.

The real subject

The Bristol Blenheim Mk.I was a British all-metal twin-engined light bomber of the 1930s, which at the beginning of the Second World War made up the backbone of the bomber and reconnaissance squadrons. At the time it appeared its speed put it among the best, but as the war went on more modern types caught up with it.

Use

• The decal is cut out, dipped in water for a few seconds and slid onto its appointed place in the cockpit.
• We recommend evening out the base beforehand in a dark shade and going over it with gloss varnish; do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer at all, as they would attack the printed resin and the relief.
• The set markedly speeds up and improves the detail of the cockpit compared with hand painting.
