Black Dog 1:48 British SAS Jeep Crew Afrika (2 figures) is a resin set of two figures of the crew of a British SAS jeep in North Africa.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set holds two figures in 1:48 scale capturing the crew of a British Special Air Service combat jeep in the North African campaign. It is a cast resin set from the maker Black Dog, supplied as unassembled and unpainted parts for advanced modelers. The figures are designed to fit into a model of a light reconnaissance vehicle of this size.
During the war in the desert the British SAS earned its reputation with deep raids on enemy airfields and supply routes. The crews operated from lightened jeeps armed with machine guns, in the typical desert dress. The figures capture the relaxed poses of soldiers on the move or working the vehicle.
Wash the mold release residue off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Paint with acrylics or oils; desert uniforms come out with a muted sand palette, with shading and a light dusting of pigments.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
