A photo-etched (brass) set for making the walkboards on the wings of British airplanes in 1:48 scale. It is not a model of an airplane but an accessory that renders on a model the non-slip strips and boards the ground crew moved along.
Photo-etched walkboards add fine surface detail to a wing that plastic usually does not have at this scale. The model gains a more faithful and richer look to the upper surfaces of the wings.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and, if need be, adapt them to the shape of the wing. Bond them with a small amount of super glue (cyanoacrylate) so that the boards adhere well. Before painting, degrease the metal and spray a primer.
The set does not contain the model itself, glue or paints. It serves as an accessory to a plastic kit.
