The resin weapons set Browning M2 of 12.7 mm caliber, wing-mounted machine guns with electric firing, in 1:48 scale from Aires. It is an accessory for a kit, not an airplane model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set is a resin accessory for the armament in 1:48 scale, holding faithful castings of the Browning M2 wing machine guns of 12.7 mm caliber in the form with electric firing. It is not an airplane model but a detail set meant to be fitted into the wings of plastic kits of aircraft that carried this type of armament.
The Browning M2 of 12.7 mm caliber (.50 cal) was one of the most widespread aircraft machine guns. It was carried in the wings of a range of American fighters and attack aircraft. The form with electric firing was used where the trigger was operated electrically from the cockpit. Faithful castings of the weapons help in a detailed rendering of exposed gun bays as well as of the barrels protruding from the leading edge.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, separate the thin casting blocks carefully and bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Sand resin with respiratory protection. The metal surfaces of the weapons come into their own once painted and given a gentle patina. The set can be used together with gun bay accessories from the same brand.
This is a resin detail set, that is, an accessory for a kit. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
