This resin set from Aires in 1:48 scale holds finely made Colt Browning machine guns of 7.7 mm caliber (the British .303). It is not an aircraft kit but a detail accessory for the armament, replacing the simplified parts of a base kit. The set is intended for more experienced modelers.
The 7.7 mm machine gun was the most widespread onboard armament of British fighters of the Second World War. Fitted in batteries of several guns in the wings, it was carried by a range of types of the day. It was marked by a high rate of fire and reliability, although against armored targets its caliber was rather small, which led to the later addition of cannon of larger caliber.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces with respiratory protection. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The barrels come into their own in a dark metal shade with gentle highlighting. Check that they seat in the wing or the mountings of the base kit before gluing them in.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not the airplane model itself. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
