A universal set of photo-etched metal parts with two groups of features. The first are the fasteners and fixtures of the engine cowling, the small fittings with which the quick-release panels of real aircraft are attached to the airframe. The second are the interior ribs, that is the ribs and sections that are visible inside open covers, inside landing gear doors or under a hinged panel.
It is not cut for one type of aircraft. It is used wherever you open a model and reveal a place that the kit manufacturer left smooth. Typically that is the inner side of landing gear doors, an open engine compartment or a hinged service panel. Cowling fasteners, in turn, suit models where the fittings are only suggested by shallow engraving, or have disappeared altogether after sanding. Reckon on placing the parts from your own documentation for the subject; the set gives you material, not instructions for a particular aircraft.
Interior ribs are glued onto a smooth base, so sand the surface first and clear it of dust. Mark the ribs out parallel with a fine pencil beforehand, or use a strip of tape as a ruler. The fasteners are very small, so cut them off one at a time only at the moment of gluing and carry them on a moistened brush tip. Degrease the photo-etched parts and spray a base coat. Bond with super glue in minute drops; an excess of glue on a smooth surface will show up after spraying. Set the insides of the covers apart in color from the exterior finish, and the ribs will then stand out.
The accessory set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
