Xtradecal Curtiss P-40B Tomahawk (Warhawk) Pt 2 in 1:48 scale is a set of waterslide decals for models of the American Curtiss P-40 fighter in its early versions.
Responsibility details are not available.
This sheet set of waterslide decals is meant for models of the American Curtiss P-40 fighter in its early variants, known under the names Tomahawk and Warhawk alike. As the second part of the series it adds further markings to those on the first sheet. The decals make it possible to finish a model to one particular form, including national insignia and personal markings. The model itself and the paints are not included in the package.
The Curtiss P-40 was one of the most numerously built American fighters of the beginning of the Second World War. The early versions with a short forward fuselage became famous for their service in North Africa and in Asia, where the crews often decorated the nose with a predator's jaws. The Tomahawk designation was used by British and allied units, while the US Army Air Forces used the name Warhawk. The machine stood out for its ruggedness and its good behavior at low altitudes.
Cut the decals close to the marking and transfer them from lukewarm water onto a smooth gloss varnish so that no silvering appears. Settling is helped by softening and setting solution, especially across panel lines. Seal the finished markings with a final protective varnish.
This is a set of decals, not a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
