The de Havilland Chipmunk T.20 in 1:48, the SPACE set is an Eduard accessory meant to bring the pilot's station of the trainer to life.
Responsibility details are not available.
SPACE is the name of Eduard's range of color three-dimensional decals, which are applied into a pilot's station that is already built. The point is simple: to get a three-dimensional, colored look into the cockpit without photo-etched parts, benders and hours spent painting dials with a single-hair brush. The aircraft itself is not in the package; this is a finishing accessory.
The Chipmunk came about shortly after the Second World War in the Canadian branch of the British company as a replacement for the older biplane training types. A low-wing monoplane with tandem seats, an inline engine and a conventional tailwheel landing gear, it proved exceptionally successful, so it was built in the hundreds and lasted for decades in air forces and flying clubs. The T.20 designation was used for military machines delivered to foreign users. A number of examples fly to this day in private hands and can be seen at air shows.
Do not immerse the element in water: moisten only the backing paper beneath it, lift it off with tweezers and only then fix it to the target surface with PVA glue. The surface has to be smooth, ideally coated with gloss, so that no air pockets form under the element. Once it has dried, give the cockpit a light matte coat and add a restrained shadow so that the details stand out.
The exact scope of the set cannot be determined from the name, so it is not stated here.
