The decal sheet 1:48 Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A-4 from the Hungarian manufacturer HAD models offers two finish variants for building this fighter in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a decal sheet in its own right, not a kit. The sheet from the Hungarian manufacturer HAD models is meant for finishing a Fw 190 A-4 model already built in 1:48 scale and brings two finish variants: a machine in German service with the fighter wing JG 54 and the same type in the finish of a captured aircraft operated by the Soviet side. The decals are printed on a thin carrier film which after drying practically does not stand above the surface of the model.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A-4 belongs to the early A family of this single-seat fighter with a BMW 801 radial engine. Against the earlier batches the A-4 version received a new radio set, which also goes with a different shape of the aerial mast on the spine of the fuselage. The combination of a sturdy structure, wide-track landing gear and good handling at higher speeds makes the Fw 190 A one of the most frequently built types of the Second World War.
The decals are applied over a smooth gloss clear coat, which prevents the silvering effect under the carrier film. Cut the individual designs out as closely as possible, soak them in clean lukewarm water and let them rest until the film begins to slide freely on the backing paper. A softener makes them settle more easily, and on busy areas and engraved lines so does carefully pricking the bubbles with the tip of a scalpel. Once dry, go over the model with a matte or semi-matte varnish according to the character of the surface.
The product is a decal sheet. The model, paints, glue and varnishes are not included in the package.
