Color decals for the interior of the bomber and reconnaissance versions of the Mosquito in 1:48 scale. The name designates the item as the smaller variant, that is a narrower selection than the full version. Check the particular difference in contents on the box. The decals are shaped for the parts of the Tamiya kit.
Set your workspace up so that the small parts do not disappear. Good side lighting, a light-colored working surface, tweezers with smooth jaws and a soft brush are the minimum. Meanwhile, clean the flash off the cockpit parts, degrease them and paint them in the base shade; let the paint cure and only then apply a thin coat of gloss varnish. Gloss serves no decorative purpose here but a technical one – it seals the pores of the finish so that no air is trapped under the decal and the edges do not turn white.
Take the elements one by one, transfer them into place with a damp brush after fifteen seconds in lukewarm water and fine-tune the position while the decal still slides. Draw off the excess water with a cotton swab applied from the side, never by pressing from above. Do not use a decal softener or a setting solution, because their chemistry attacks the printed resin and ruins the element. Once dry, unify the interior with a matte or semi-matte coat, which will also protect the printing.
