This is NOT an aircraft kit but a small resin detail accessory. A set of precisely cast exhausts replaces the simplified parts from a plastic kit and gives the engine section of the Dornier Do 217N-1 night fighter a realistic look. The exhausts have hollowed openings and finely drawn relief that is difficult to achieve in injection-molded plastic.
The Dornier Do 217N was a night fighter derivative of the Do 217 bomber, armed with radar and with upward-firing cannon. On night machines the exhaust stacks of the liquid-cooled engines were arranged with flame suppression in mind, so that the flash would not dazzle the crew.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent residue, separate them carefully from the casting blocks and bond them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Check the fit dry before gluing them in.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
