The set holds finely cast resin exhausts for a model of the Dornier Do 215 in 1:48 scale. It is an aftermarket accessory of the Quickboost brand (Aires) that replaces the plastic parts of a kit with more faithful castings, often with suggested bores in the outlets. This is not an aircraft model but a detail set.
The Dornier Do 215 was a German twin-engine aircraft from the beginning of the Second World War, derived from the Do 17 and used among other things for reconnaissance. The exhausts of its inverted V12 engines are a prominent surface detail; more faithfully cast parts improve the impression of the engine nacelles.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin exhausts, separate them from the casting blocks and seat them on the engine nacelles. Bond them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). It is worth picking out the outlets and using rusty and sooty shades. Protect your airways and ventilate the room while sanding resin.
This is an aftermarket resin accessory. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
