Zoom is the shortened version of the color etch from Eduard. It contains a selection of key pre-printed parts of the pilot's cockpit, while a full color set adds a range of small items for the rest of the interior and a full unpainted etch aims rather at structural details. That is precisely why Zoom suits cases where you want to raise the level of the cockpit noticeably in a few tens of minutes of work. This particular item is a metal accessory, not a masking set or decals, even though other kinds of product carry the same subject name.
The Douglas A-26 Invader, later redesignated B-26, was an American twin-engine attack aircraft with a high speed and a considerable load-carrying performance. The C version differed from the B version in a glazed nose with a station for the bombardier. The cockpit was roomy for its day, with a view through a large canopy, so the interior stays clearly visible once the model is finished and is worth investing in.
The color parts are printed in production, so handle them in clean gloves or with tweezers, as the print can be scratched. Cut them out with a scalpel close to the tab and sand the burr down carefully. Make the folds in a bending tool; for small parts two blades are enough. The instrument panel in this line is usually two-layered, so dry-fit the layers first and only then join them with a small drop of super glue. A drop of gloss clear suits the recesses of the dials and creates the impression of glass. Remove the relief the etch is glued onto from the plastic part, otherwise the assembly will grow too large and the cockpit will not close. Do not spray the pre-printed areas with a covering color.
This is an accessory set, not a standalone kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
