A set of resin landing gear wheels for EA-18G Growler models in 1:48 scale. It holds the main wheels and the nose wheel with a faithful tire tread pattern and fine hub relief. Resin castings have sharper detail than injection-molded plastic and tend to be made with a suggestion of load.
The EA-18G Growler is the two-seat version of the Super Hornet adapted for electronic warfare. It is a heavy carrier aircraft on which the sturdy landing gear and the wheels are among the prominent details of the underside of a model.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts in lukewarm soapy water, separate the casting blocks and bond them with super glue. Paint the hubs and the tires separately, take the sheen off the rubber and pick it out with a wash. If the wheels are made weighted, take care over the correct orientation of the flat contact face.
This is a detail accessory, not a standalone model. Paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package.
