An accessory set for building plastic aircraft models in 1:48 scale. Accessories of this kind are added to a finished kit where the modeler wants finer shapes or a higher level of detail than the base parts from the kit offer. Before you set about gluing, try the parts dry in the place they are going. Cut the excess material off a short way from the part with a sharp blade and sand the remainder carefully with fine sanding paper, so as not to touch the shape itself. Pick up small parts with tweezers over a tray so that they do not spring away across the workshop. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts: for parts that are not polystyrene, cyanoacrylate applied in a small amount with the tip of a toothpick is suitable.
Before painting, wash the parts in lukewarm water with a drop of dish soap and let them dry thoroughly; a degreased surface holds paint substantially better. Apply the paint in thin coats so that the fine edges and transitions are not lost. Keep unused parts in a closed bag out of direct sunlight, so that small shapes do not deform.
The kit, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
