The product is not a model or a set for a particular kit. It is a thin metal plate 100x50 mm overall, into which a regular texture is etched over the whole area. The maker Hauler designates it as the German late type, that is, a pattern matching vehicles of the later period of the Second World War. From the plate you cut a piece exactly to the shape of the area you want to cover.
An injection mold can only suggest a texture softly, and when sanding seams you lose it from the model anyway. A metal plate gives a surface a sharp relief that is even over the whole area, and on top of that it adds a real edge thickness that is visible from the side. It is used on the upper surfaces of hulls and superstructures, hatches and platforms, and on diorama items where textured sheet should be visible.
First make a paper template of the area and only then cut the metal - the plate is limited and a mistake is costly. Cut with photo-etch shears and level the edge with a file. Glue the plate onto a degreased and smoothly sanded base with super glue applied in a thin layer over the whole area; if you put it only in the corners, the edges will lift in time. Cover the transition at the edge with a trim, a grab handle or stowed tools. Paint in thin coats and preferably with an airbrush, because a thick coat from a brush floods the fine relief and all the work disappears.
