1:48 Exocet missile (2 PCS) is a resin external stores accessory, specifically a pair of Exocet anti-ship missiles. It is not a model of an aircraft but parts to fit to a finished kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a resin accessory from Reskit, not a kit. According to the name the contents are two Exocet anti-ship missiles at a size matching 1:48 scale. Missiles of this type are long and smooth, so they catch the eye at once on a model and at the same time give away every irregularity of the surface mercilessly. That is exactly why it pays to reach for a resin casting, which is cast as one smooth whole with no lengthwise parting line across the body of the missile.
The Exocet is a French anti-ship guided missile with a flat flight path just above the surface of the water. It appeared in forms for launching from surface ships, from submarines and from aircraft, and the air-launched version became standard armament for several types of carrier and naval machines. Its characteristic features are a cylindrical body with four wings and tail fins and an approach to the target at low altitude, which markedly shortens the target's time to react.
Cut the missile from the casting block with a fine-toothed saw, make the cut with a margin and only then sand it down wet. On a long cylindrical part, watch that it stays straight and is not sanded into an oval. Before painting, wash the part in lukewarm water with detergent because of the mold release agent. It is glued with cyanoacrylate, as resin does not react to cement for plastic. A smooth surface is demanding to prepare, so do not skimp on primer and fill any sanding marks before spraying. Lay the paint on in thin coats, as a heavy coat on a slender body will form unpleasant drips.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
