This resin detail set captures the landing gear bays of the F-100 Super Sabre in the C and D versions in 1:48 scale. It is an accessory for a kit that replaces the simplified plastic bays with faithful relief of the walls, the piping and the stiffeners.
The F-100 Super Sabre is an American fighter and the first production type from its maker able to exceed the speed of sound in level flight. The C and D versions were among the most widespread forms. Open landing gear bays reveal the internal structure of the airframe and draw attention on a finished scale model.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The bays come into their own once painted and a dark shade is run into the recesses.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin accessory for a kit. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
