This resin detail set from the Czech maker Aires in 1:48 scale shows the landing gear bays of the F-104 Starfighter jet fighter with faithful detailing of the inner walls and structures. It replaces the flat plastic bays of the base kit. It is an accessory for a kit, not an airplane model.
The Lockheed F-104 Starfighter was an American supersonic jet fighter with a markedly thin, short wing, operated by a number of air forces. Detailed wheel bays capture the busy inner structure of the landing gear compartments of the real aircraft.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Fitting the bays usually calls for sanding or reworking the plastic parts of the base model. Paint the inside of the bays and pick it out with a wash before final assembly.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not an airplane model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
