A set of cut self-adhesive masks from New Ware for a model of the American supersonic interceptor F-106A Delta Dart. It is not a kit - these are precisely shaped masks in thin masking tape that adhere to the cockpit glazing and other masked surfaces and make it possible to spray the frames with a clean, sharp edge. The set saves laborious cutting and hand-tracing with tape.
The F-106A Delta Dart was an American single-seat supersonic interceptor with its characteristic delta wing, long the backbone of the air defense of the United States. It was designed for rapid climb and for intercepting bombers. The combination of a delta wing and metal surfaces makes demands on clean masking, which the set makes easier.
Lay the masks on clean glazing and masked surfaces, press them down along the edges and spray the shade for the frames and the surfaces. The thin tape follows curves and leaves a sharp edge. Once the paint is dry, lift the masks carefully. For the best adhesion, degrease the surface before applying the masks, remove any dust and press the masks down with a soft tool so that paint does not creep under the edge.
This is a masking set. A model and paints are not included in the package.
