This decal sheet from the Czech maker Eduard brings color markings of the Grumman F-14A Tomcat carrier fighter in 1:48 scale. The sheet makes it possible to build several machines of the US Navy in different squadron finishes, including national insignia and data lettering.
The F-14A Tomcat was a two-seat carrier fighter with variable wing geometry that from the nineteen seventies formed the backbone of the fighter defense of American aircraft carriers. It became known for its powerful engines, its radar and its long-range missiles; the A version was its first and most widespread production variant.
Apply the decals onto smooth gloss varnish, so that no silvering occurs under the color elements. Let the more extensive markings soften in a decal softener, so that they settle onto the panels and the riveting. Once dry, even the surface out with semi-gloss or matte varnish according to the surface of the aircraft.
