Eduard F-14A Tomcat Desert Storm 1:48 is a set of waterslide decals with the markings of US Navy machines from Operation Desert Storm.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of waterslide decals from the Czech manufacturer Eduard, intended for a plastic kit of the Grumman F-14A Tomcat fighter in 1:48 scale. It is not a model or a structural accessory but alternative markings with which you finish a particular machine from combat service in the Persian Gulf in 1991.
The decals cover several US Navy squadrons deployed during Operation Desert Storm, among them VF-1, VF-33, VF-41, VF-84 and VF-102, operating from aircraft carriers. The set therefore makes it possible to build varied machines with period tactical markings and national insignia.
The decals are applied in the classic way once the varnish has dried: the part is dipped in lukewarm water, and once it releases from the backing it is transferred onto a gloss base and settled with a decal softener. A gloss varnish under the decals and a matte or semi-gloss coat at the end are recommended to even the surface out.
This is a set of decals only. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
